Railway stories

We launched the ‘Railway Stories’ section three years ago so that our website could feature something new on a regular basis and not remain unchanged for months on end. The short stories and articles about railways, published at irregular intervals, are intended to bring back memories and encourage reflection and nostalgia. We hope this is appreciated, and the (unfortunately scarce) feedback we’ve received confirms this.
Contrary to our original plans, the section has, unfortunately, largely become a ‘one-man show’. This shouldn’t stay that way! We would therefore like to open it up to other photographers and writers and ask for your support!
As the roughly 30 stories published so far show, almost anything is possible. The story should normally look back at least 25 years and have a connection to Switzerland. Ideally, you’ll provide us directly with an illustrated story (Word or JPG file). (One language is sufficient; we’ll continue to organise the translations.) If you’re not keen on writing, simply send photos with a few notes. We’ll then write up a text. Perhaps you’d like to write about a great event but don’t have any photos. No problem: we’ll try to find something suitable… Incidentally, we reduce photos to around 200 kB, so copying them won’t make much difference.

Important: You must hold the copyright to both the text and images and grant us permission to publish them on our website!
