When trains go bathing…

In case of extraordinary high water, Lake Constance can overflow its banks. On 1 August 1987, this happen again. Lake Constance flooded the low-lying Rorschach Hafen station. There were almost no wind-induced waves, so it was possible to board the trains dry-footed from the normal platforms. But railcars with low-lying engines were replaced by locomotive-hauled trains.
